Adam S. Purdy, 51, of Westborough, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Umass Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Worcester, he is the son of Theresa (LeFrancois) Chouinard of Westborough and the late Richard G. Purdy, III. He was educated in Westborough schools and was a graduate of Assabet Regional Vocational High School.
Adam was employed as the Head Telephone Operator at Westborough State Hospital for 18 years.
He enjoyed playing cards, games and fishing.
In addition to his mother he is survived by three sisters, Jacqueline Chouinard and her husband, Rick, of Westborough, Christine Tebo and her husband, Skip, of Millbury and Pauline Goulart and her husband, Will, of N. Attleborough; two brothers, Richard Purdy, IV, of Westborough and Glen Chouinard and his significant other, Joanna, of Barre; three half-sisters, Robin, Erica and Shane Purdy of Westborough and eight nieces and nephews, Ashley, Jessica, Dereck, Nicholas, Mitchell, Samuel, Beckham and Zachary.
He was pre-deceased by his step-father, Clifford Chouinard and his niece, Felicia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 11, from 5 to 8 P.M. at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Funeral services and burial in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private.
