Adele S. Batcheller

WESTBOROUGH- Adele S. Batcheller, 95, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Westborough, passed away on April 6, 2012 at the Consulate Health Care in Port Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her husband George C. Batcheller in 1983.

Adele leaves two sons, Peter Batcheller and his wife, Shirley, of Rotonda, FL and Edward Batcheller and his wife, Madeline, of Apopka, FL; five grandchildren, Sarah Baker and her husband, Steve, Susan Batcheller, Edward Batcheller and his wife, Beth, Gregory Batcheller, and David Batcheller and his wife, Danielle; and five great grandchildren.

Born in Hudson, MA, Adele was a longtime resident of Westborough and Newburyport, MA. She loved cooking, selling pizza long ago from her Westborough kitchen, as well as gardening, knitting, crocheting, reading, and playing cards. Adele was also an accomplished seamstress, working at the Berkley Dress Shop in downtown Westborough. She retired from the Westborough State Hospital as a clothing clerk. In later years, Adele retired to Rotonda, FL where she volunteered at Englewood Community Hospital.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 5 at 10:00 A.M. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westborough.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
