Alice Nagy, 88, of Upton, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at home with her family. She was the beloved wife of Eugene Nagy, to whom she was married for 65 years.
Born in Kempa Zawadowska, Poland, Alice was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Emile (Jabs) Witt. She immigrated to Toronto, Canada in her late twenties, then to the United States in the early 1980’s and has lived in Upton for the past year.
Alice worked for many years as a hairdresser. She loved music, dancing, listening to Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby, but most of all she loved her family and devoted her life to raising her children.
In addition to her husband, Alice is survived by two children, Dr. Sonia Nagy Chimienti and her husband, Jason, of Upton; Zoltan Nagy of California; also six grandchildren. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 3 at 1:00 P.M. at Lakeview Cemetery in Upton. There are no calling hours.
