Anne Marie (Serocca) Bohn
age 89, passed peacefully on June 23rd, 2012 in Westborough, MA of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Anne was raised in Shenandoah, PA, the daughter of Alexander and Mary Serocca. Following her graduation from Penn State, she pursued a career in hotel management in Washington D.C. where she met her husband, then Marine Lt. Robert D. Bohn. Anne moved extensively as she supported Bob in his career with the Marine Corps, settling upon retirement in Cove Creek, Stevensville, MD and Falls Church, VA. During the course of her travels, she acquired many recipes, which she elegantly prepared to the great delight of her family and friends from around the world, often at a moment’s notice. Anne also loved watching football, and adored her dog Belle.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Maj. Gen. Robert Bohn. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Kostial and Nancy Kellogg; by four grandchildren, Brad, David, Elizabeth and Julianne; and by three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Ellie and Megan. A memorial service is being planned for Falls Church, with interment at Arlington National Cemetery. Anne will be greatly missed by all. Memorial donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or to the Salvation Army.
