Arthur G. Cottle, 73, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He was the husband of Kaye L. (Erickson) Cottle.

Born in Masardis, Maine, he was the son of the late Ervin and Uldene (Campbell) Cottle and was raised and educated in Worcseter. From 1958 to 1964 Artie proudly served with the U. S. Marine Corps.

He was employed as a truck driver for 29 years for Sweet Life Foods prior to his retirement.

Artie was a member of Teamsters Local 170 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cribbage and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed time spent with family in Hew Hampshire and Maine.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Robert A. Cottle and his wife, Andrea, of Auburn, and Sean A. Cottle and his girlfriend, Tara DeBoer, of Clinton; two daughters, Donna Riopel and her husband, Brian, of Oxford and Cindy Cottle of Roseville, CA; three grandchildren, Tyler, Shane and Adam; one great-grandchild, Austin. He is also survived by four sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by granddaughter Amanda Riopel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 28, from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.

A private funeral service will be held on Monday with burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westborough.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge St., Suite 202, Cambridge, MA 02140 or to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Dr., Triangle, VA 22172
