Brigitte Moesta

Brigitte Moesta, 68, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Bad Homburg, Germany she was the daughter of the late Hans and Anna (Donat) Tornow. She received her Master’s in Chemistry from the University of Giessen in Germany, and also attended the University of Freiburg.  Brigitte’s true passion was found in following her late father’s footsteps as a pilot. After earning her pilot’s wings at Marlborough airport, she eventually became a flight instructor and had been teaching students at East Coast Aero Club for the past two decades as well as flying for multiple charter airlines.

Her other passion was being a mother and grandmother (“Oma”) whom she dedicated her life to.  She is survived by her five children and their families:  Achim and Corinne Moesta of Woodside, CA with granddaughters Kathryn and Juliana, Stefan and Leslie Moesta of Maynard, MA with grandchildren Theodore and Caroline; Susanne and William Fouse of Annapolis, MD with grandsons Sebastian and Lucas, Sybille Moesta of Brooklyn, NY and Tobias Moesta of Philadelphia, PA.  Also mourning the loss of Brigitte are her two sisters, Monika Block and Martina Fritz of Germany.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, July 7, from 3 to 6 P.M. at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
