WESTBOROUGH- Clorinda A. Torraco, 87, of Fairhaven, formerly of Westborough, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Italo Torraco.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Maria (Miola) DiMare. She was educated in Brighton and was a graduate of Brighton High School.
Clorinda was a homemaker dedicated to her home and family. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, ceramics, painting and was an excellent cook. She has briefly resided in Fairhaven previously living in Westborough, Ft. Meyers, Sandwich and Brighton.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald A. Torraco of Portland, Oregon and Daniel J. Torraco and his wife, Jo, of West Wareham; one brother, Joseph DiMare of Hudson; three sisters, Theresa Bentley of Waltham, Maria Souza of Burlington and Elena Hammond of Baltimore, MD and three granddaughters, Jennie, Nicole and Mary.
Clorinda was also pre deceased by one son, Fr. Stephen Torraco, PhD.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
