WORCESTER- Conrad A. Bourque, 83, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Millbury Health Care Center after a brief illness. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Davy) Bourque.
Born in Sanford, Maine, he was the son of the late Leo and Alphamina (Cyr) Bourque. He was educated in Dover, NH schools and was a graduate of Dover High School. He also graduated from Maine Central Institute Prep School and attended Northeastern University.
During the Korean Conflict he served with the U. S. Army attaining the rank of Corporal. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal and the Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal.
Mr. Bourque was the owner and operator of Tatnuck Cleaners for many years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Triumphant Life Church, enjoyed all sports, especially watching his grandsons play hockey. He has been a resident of Worcester for 10 years previously living in Grafton for many years.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his two children, Julie A. Rowe of Somersworth, NH and Kyle S. Bourque and his wife, Patti, of Worcester; three brothers, Paul Bourque of Framingham, Joseph Bourque of Somersworth, NH and John Bourque of Melbourne, FL and four beloved grandchildren, William C. Rowe, Kelsey Bourque, Derek Bourque and Shawn Bourque.
He was the brother of the late Lorraine Mayrand.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, at 10:00 A.M. in the Triumphant Life Church, 166 Holden St., Worcester. Burial, with military honors, will be private at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday, June 12, from 4 to 8 P.M.
