Constance J. Rossi

March 11, 1936 — April 17, 2022

WESTBOROUGH

Constance J. Rossi, 86, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully at 6:30 A.M. on Easter Sunday, April 17. 2022.  She spent most of her life in Westborough, Massachusetts, where she was graduated from Westborough High School in 1953.  She received her undergraduate degree from Anna Maria College four years later, and a Master’s degree in Education from Worcester State College in 1961. She relocated to Tucson, Arizona, in the Spring of 2021, to be closer to family.

Connie was a dedicated teacher who loved her students and her profession.  She was a teacher in   Westborough, Massachusetts for several years and for many years in Millbury, Massachusetts. She spent two years in Germany teaching children of Military families, and while there, she traveled throughout Europe.  She also taught in Bogota, Colombia for a decade and visited every South American country.

Connie was a devout member of the Catholic church and in her later years her greatest pleasure was watching the Catholic Channel, EWTN.  When she could not attend Mass in person, she saw Mass on EWTN daily and said at least one rosary.  Connie loved her home in Westborough, art, travel, good food, flowers, her family, and her friends, especially her classmates from Westborough and Anna Maria.  She doted on her nephews and nieces and supported their hopes and dreams.  Connie had a wonderful dry sense of humor and a heart of gold.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Connie was a loving and devoted sister, aunt and cousin.  Her parents, Dominic and Columbia Rossi of Westborough, Massachusetts, preceded her in death. She leaves behind her sister, Sandra Rossi, her nephews David Makepeace and Thomas Makepeace and their wives, Jennifer and Edna Makepeace, her grandnieces, Kersey Makepeace and Abbey Makepeace, all of Tucson Arizona. She also leaves behind her grandnephew, D.J. Makepeace and his fiancé, Ashleigh, of Spokane, Washington and a grandniece, Layla Achziger of Aurora, Colorado, and many Rossi and Sandini cousins whom she loved dearly.

There will be a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 70 West Main Street, Westborough, Massachusetts.  Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. Another funeral Mass was also held in Tucson, Arizona, on May 12, 2022 for all those unable to travel to Massachusetts.
