Dante C. Marinelli, 85, of Westborough, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy A. (Diatalevi) Marinelli.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Ranieri) Marinelli. He was raised and educated in the Allston/Brighton area and was a graduate of Boston College, class of 1958.

During the Korean Conflict he served with the U.S. Army.

Dante was the owner of Village Realty Trust, a commercial property management company. He was also an entrepreneur and was a professional photographer many years ago.

He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, has been a resident of Westborough for 26 years previously living in Sudbury and enjoyed woodworking.

Dante is survived by his two children, Michelle M. Marinelli of Westborough and Dante M. “Dan” Marinelli and his wife, Carolyn, of Worcester; one sister, Peg Marinelli and her significant other, Bernie Schlichte, of Framingham; two brothers, Frank Marinelli and his wife, Maryanne, of Westborough and Gino Marinelli and his wife, Marie, of California; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Mark, Max and Dante and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 19, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in St. Luke’s Cemetery will be private.

Calling hours at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Sunday, December 18, from 2 to 5 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 350 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01604
