WESTBOROUGH- Diane M. McManus, 74, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Milford, she is the daughter of Mary (Testa) MacDonald Hampton of Westborough and the late Albert MacDonald. She was raised and educated in Milford, Hopedale and Framingham and was a 1959 graduate of Framingham High School.
Diane operated Knob Hill Kindergarten and Nursery School and owned an antique shop both in Framingham prior to her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, enjoyed gardening, painting, knitting, crocheting and spending time at her beach home at White Horse Beach. She has been a resident of Westborough for 11 years previously living in Natick and Framingham.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her three children, Susan E. Faherty and her husband, Jerry, of Westborough, Scott C. McManus and his husband, David Connolly, of Swampscott and Matthew F. McManus and his wife, Kim, of Austin, TX; two brothers, Albert L. MacDonald and his wife, Barbara, of N. Grafton and Dennis G. MacDonald and his wife, Dottie, of Ft. Meyer, FL; one sister, Marilyn Worrilow and her husband, Charles, of Falmouth; six grandchildren, Brianna, Emily, Cara, Ted, Meghan and Patrick and nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 10, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday, December 9, from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908
