WESTBOROUGH- Ellin A. Onorato, 83, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2014 at home. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Onorato.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Fitzpatrick) Gundersen. She was educated in Brookline and was a graduate of Brookline High School.
Ellin was employed as a bookkeeper for the family business, Vogue Construction, serving the Brookline, Newton and Boston areas.
She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, enjoyed reading and was involved in many causes concerning children and animals. She has been a resident of Westborough since 1985 previously living in Brookline.
Ellin is survived by her four children, Joseph S. Onorato and his wife, Cheryl, of Milton, Patti A. Onorato of Auburn, Richard T. Onorato and his wife, Carol, of Westborough and Lisa F. Onorato and her husband, David Welch, of Wellesley; one sister, Marilyn Wolfe of Stratham, NH and two granddaughters, Kathryn Shea and Jacqueline Onorato.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 16, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Monday, December 15, from 5 to 8 P.M.
