Eric J. Weir, 28, of Worcester, formerly of Boylston, died suddenly on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Worcester, he is the son of William and JoAnn (Edmunds) Weir of Boylston. He was educated in Boylston schools and graduated from Assabet Vocational Regional High School.
Following graduation he worked for Phillips Precision Machine in Boylston and spent several years in New Hampshire working construction. Eric was currently employed by Lakeview Landscaping in Lunenburg and worked part time for his father at W. J. Weir and Sons in Boylston.
He was an avid Motor Cross fan and loved his dog, Axel.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, William K. Weir and his wife, Sarah, of Westborough; his maternal grandparents, Ken and Virginia Edmunds of Grafton; his maternal grandmother, Mildred Weir of Westborough; one nephew, Jacob Weir; his childhood friend, Amanda Andrews; his girlfriend, Lisa Wagner and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, at 10:00 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westborough.
Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday, September 28, from 4 to 8 P.M.
