WESTBOROUGH- Evelyn L. Bellemer, 91, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northborough. She was the wife of the late Kenneth O. Bellemer.

Born in Oxford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Dora (Henault) Strack. She was educated in Oxford schools and graduated from St. Xavier High School in Providence, RI. She also attended and graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Providence.

Evelyn was employed as the District Nurse of Westborough and the surrounding area prior to her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and was active in The Women of St. Luke’s. She was also a member of the Westborough Senior Center and was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2003.

Evelyn is survived by her five children, Russell K. Bellemer of Worcester, Charles A. Bellemer and his wife, Constance, of Spencer, Susan C. Bellemer of Worcester, Elizabeth A. Underwood and her husband, Michael, of Goffstown, NH and Joan H. Bellemer of Auburn; one sister, Helen Burns of Pawtucket; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Claire Duclos and Edward Strack.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 29, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Tuesday, October 28, from 4 to 7 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472
