We regret to announce the passing of Fran Marcoux, a woman of many talents and interests. Fran, who departed this world on October 23, 2023, was known for her unique and varied interests.
As a participant in 18th century Living History reenactments and encampments, Fran breathed life into history, educating and entertaining all who had the privilege of witnessing her dedication and passion for the past. She was a living time machine, an inspiration to those who shared her fascination with history.
She was a remarkable seamstress, meticulously crafting clothing that transported anyone who beheld them back in time to the American Revolution era. Military uniforms for reenactors and elegant ball gowns, every stitch was imbued with historical accuracy and a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship of the past.
Animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses, held a special place in Fran's heart. She cared for her furry friends with great affection, ensuring they enjoyed happy and comfortable lives.
Fran is survived by her daughter and two sons and also her 3 grandchildren, who carry on her spirit. Fran will be remembered as a woman who brought creativity and history to life and who left her mark on the lives of many through her crafts, her knowledge, and her love for both people and animals.
Fran's legacy lives on in the beautiful quilts, historical garments, and the fond memories of those who knew her. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the remarkable woman she was.
Her family be holding a celebration of her life in the spring.
