Francis W. Ward

Francis W. Ward, 87, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge.

Born in Westborough, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Haven) Ward. He was a lifelong resident of Westborough, attended Westborough schools and earned an associate degree from Worcester State College.

During the late 1950’s he served with the United States Army.

Francis was employed as a manager for Ward’s Construction Pit and he enjoyed all New England sports.

He is survived by one sister, Catherine E. Ward of Westborough, one brother, Walter H. Ward and his wife, Linda, of Shrewsbury and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Ward and a brother, Albert Ward.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6, at 11:00 A.M. in the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
