WESTBOROUGH- Frank R. Sanning, 87, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the UMass Memorial Healthcare- University Campus in Worcester. He was the husband of the late Claire C. (Bland) Sanning.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (O’Brien) Sanning. He was educated at Boston English High School and graduated from Boston College in 1952.
During WW II he served with the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Sanning was a sales representative and a sales manager for Union-Butterfield in Athol for many years prior to his retirement.
He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed Cape Cod and all sports but most of all was dedicated to his family.
Frank is survived by his three daughters, Mary C. Sanning and Elizabeth M. Sanning both of Westborough and Monica B. Sanning of New York City. He is also survived by one sister, Virginia Sanning of North Eastham.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 6, at 12:30 P.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough, are Sunday, May 5, from 2 to 5 P.M.
