Gerald E. Blake

Gerald E. Blake, 86, of Canton, formerly of Milton and Wrentham, died on July 19, 2024, after a period of declining health.

Born in Boston, MA to the late Helen M. (Hardy) and Patrick J. Blake. Gerry attended Milton High. He went on to receive his degree in Business Administration from Bentley University. Throughout his career, he implemented computer systems most notably at Waters Corporation in Milford, MA and Millipore in Billerica, MA. He traveled for work, filling multiple passports, seeing six out of seven continents, and meeting lifelong friends. Besides work, Gerry loved golf, being a long time member of Wampatuck Country Club in Canton, MA.

Gerry is survived by his children, Daniel J. Blake and his wife Pamela of Beverly, MA, Kathleen A. Fuschetti and her husband Steven of Rumson, NJ, Christine M. Blake of Avon, MA, Michelle A. Blake of Quincy, MA, and Erin J. Morris and her husband Daniel of Wrentham, MA, as well as, 9 grandchildren: Erica, Alexander, Steven, Christopher, Aidan, Julie, Maeve, Patrick, and Mallory, 3 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Ellen Rainie.

Gerry is predeceased in death by his parents and 8 siblings: Betty, Josephine, Pat, Cele, Joe, Helen, James, and Dick.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 6, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 29 St. Mary’s Road, Milton, MA. Interment will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gerry’s favorite charity, as children always brought him so much joy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online through their website.
