Dudley – Gerard “Jerry” Moschella, 59, of Dudley, MA. passed away on August 24, 2024, at Whitney Place Assisted Living in Westborough as a result of complications from Alzheimer’s Disease. Jerry is survived by his partner, Bill of 23 years; his brother, Steven and his wife, Lisa of Point Pleasant, NJ; two sisters, Suzette Kowalski and her husband Jim, and Sonya Allen and her husband Bob both of Jacksonville, FL.; two step sisters, Deanna Gilligan and her husband, Jack of Carlstadt, NJ, and Dana Coffaro and her husband, Joseph of Nutley, NJ.; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jerry was predeceased by his mother Marie Petkavich in 2020, his stepfather Peter Petkavich in 2014, his father Samuel Moschella in 2005 and his sister Patricia Moschella in 2018.
Jerry was born in Newark, NJ, raised in Plainfield, NJ and also lived in Oregon and southern New Jersey before moving to Dudley, MA. 22 years ago. After graduating high school, Jerry worked for a car upholstery and convertible top replacement company where he became a proficient upholsterer. He moved to Oregon for a short time where he was a pastor of bible teachings before moving back to New Jersey. Jerry then opened Easco, a vehicle and marine upholstery restoration company in Brick, NJ. Years later, seeing an opportunity in the fast-growing Information Technology sector, he sold his company and completed his education in Computer Science. Jerry was employed by Radianz, later acquired by British Telecom where he remained for over twenty years and advanced his career to Global Director – Telecom. Jerry was a compassionate person with an infectious smile who was all about helping people. He completed his education and received his certification in Integrative Nutrition starting his own health coaching practice part-time. Jerry loved to sing and was an amazing tenor in his church choir as well as the Wings of Song Choir aka Quinebaug Valley Singers which was one of his favorite pastimes.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of faith in honor of Jerry on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at East Woodstock Congregational Church, 220 Woodstock Road, Woodstock, CT. Interment at St. Mary of the Lake Mausoleum in Lakewood, NJ will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry’s memory to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001 or on-line at www.alz.org would be sincerely appreciated.
