Hazel A. Johnson, 86, found her peace on Thursday April 25, 2024, at her home in Grafton. Born in Milford, Massachusetts she was the beloved daughter of the late Hazel A. (Lougee) Irvine and Arthur E. Irvine. For 66 years she was the wife of Edwin (Eddie) Johnson who passed away in April of 2023. After retirement from many years in the insurance business Hazel enjoyed gardening, reading, games, knitting and crocheting, family and friends. She was dedicated to her church family at the First United Methodist Church where she was an active member for over 60 years.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children Debra Farrar and her husband Kevin of Westborough, MA; Kim Johnson-Turner of North Bennington, VT; Jeffrey and his wife of Susan (Robbio), Shrewsbury, MA; and Paul Randall (Randy) of Hudson, NH; seven grandchildren; Kristin (Farrar) Demoranville and her fiancé Stuart King of Chantilly, VA; Amie (Farrar) Lotz, and husband Dakota of Northbridge, MA; Bethany Farrar and her husband Garret St. Onge of Whitinsville, MA; Adam Turner and his partner Elena Schermerhorn of Albany, NY; Dylan Turner and his wife Alison Warmkessel of Chapel Hill, NC; Andrew Johnson and his wife Jennifer (Dwyer) of Westborough, MA and Melanie Johnson of Shrewsbury, MA. In addition she leaves four great grandchildren: Charlotte Lotz, Zane, Til and Maelyn Johnson, plus many nieces and nephews from the very large Irvine family.
She is predeceased by her parents, her seven brothers and their spouses: Arthur (Junior), Robert (Bobby), Albert (Albie), Kenneth (Kenny), Wallace (Wally), Ralph, and Joseph (Joe).
There will be a celebration of Hazel’s life on Saturday, May 18th at the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main Street, Westborough, MA at 10:00 A.M. Immediately following the service there will be coffee and fellowship at the church. A private burial will take place in the Irvine family grave site at Evergreen Cemetery, Woodville, MA.
