Henry W. Buswell, 88, of Westborough, passed away just after midnight on February 22nd, 2021 in his sleep at UMass Memorial.
Henry was born in Pawtucket, RI to the late Henry W. Buswell Sr. and his wife Noella Doyle Buswell. Lived in the boroughs until he graduated from Westborough High School. He got his bachelor's in electrical engineering from the University of Houston, after his military service. He got his master's degree in Management while working at the Department of Defense.
Henry joined the Air Force in 1953 during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Japan. After being Honorably discharged from the military in 1957, he got a job with the Department of Defense. He participated in NASA’s Project Mercury Program, allowing him to go around the world installing radio transmitters.
Henry retired, from the DoD, at the age of 57 in France. He moved back to the United States in 2000. after living in Arizona, he returned to Westborough in 2010 to be closer to family.
Henry loved fishing, drinking good wine and champagne, reading historical books, and he enjoyed learning the history of his family.
Henry was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Muriel, and his second wife Jeannine. He is survived by his first wife Rose France, and their children; his son Henry, and his wife, Laurence, their children Alice and Mickael, his son Lloyd, and his daughter, Marian, her husband Francois, and Marian’s children Nicolas and Fiona.
Private burial services will take place at a later date in the spring.
