WESTBOROUGH- Henry R. “Hank” Migliozzi, 87, of Westborough, died on Sunday, March 15, 2015 with his loving and devoted family at his side. He was the son of Arthur N. and Rose (Raia) Migliozzi.

He is survived by the love of his life for 65 years, Barbara J. Migliozzi, his sons Mark Migliozzi and his wife Dianna of Lynchburg, VA and David Migliozzi and his wife Tammy of Wesley Chapel, FL. His grandsons Andrew and his companion Rae Lynn Chambers of Mooresville, NC and Anthony and his wife Jill of Northborough and his granddaughter Sara Migliozzi of Lunenburg; his sister Jean Danckert of Statesville, NC; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Lapierre of Greenfield and many nieces, nephews and other members of the extended family. He was predeceased by his son Richard Migliozzi of Naples, FL, his brother Ralph and sisters Anne and Della.

He graduated from Commerce High School in 1946 and was president of his class. He was very active in sports and was captain of the Commerce football team that won the inner city championship. He enlisted in the Army and did a tour of duty in Korea. While in the Army he played football for the 7th Infantry Division. His team played in the 1948 Rice Bowl in Yokohama, Japan and they won the All Pacific Championship by defeating the 11th Airborne. He also played football for Boston University. He graduated from the Boston Universities General College. He graduated from the University of Virginia Graduate School of Consumer Banking where he was class president and wrote a library thesis on Consumer Banking.

He was an active member of the Mass Bankers Association Consumer Credit committee and the American Bankers Association Credit Card committees.

While working as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for the Bank of New England in Hyannis, MA he was the 1988-1989 Chairman of the United Way of Cape Cod.

The family spent many happy years at their home in Eastham, MA where they all enjoyed everything the Cape has to offer. When they retired they began four years of RVing. They traveled to every state in the United States, all of the Canadian Provinces and spent two summers in Alaska. Their love for travel took them to Europe and South America. They really enjoyed it all. The later years were spent enjoying Westborough for the summer months and winter months at their home in Nokomis, FL

Hank’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough, are Friday, March 20, from 4 to 7 P.M.
