Herbert H. Kenworthy, Jr., passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Overlook Masonic Healthcare in Charlton. He was the husband of the late Joan F. (Murphy) Kenworthy.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Herbert and Alice (Bushman) Kenworthy. He was educated in Dedham and Westborough schools and attended Vermont Academy and the University of Maine.
Mr. Kenworthy was the Vice President of Kenworthy Brothers in Westborough. In later years he was the plant manager for Pacesette Production in Salem and Gemini Laminating in Beverly retiring in 1989. Following his retirement he drove school bus for Ryder Transportation.
He was a member of Siloam Lodge and enjoyed playing softball and bowling.
Herbert is survived by his five children, Susan J. Ronnquist and her husband, Jeffrey, of Westborough, Robert Scott Kenworthy of Grafton, Barbara J. Kenworthy of Massachusetts, Carol A. Wilson of Sutton and Herbert H, Kenworthy, III of St. Petersburg, FL; eight grandchildren, Ursula Hanus, Rachel Ronnquist, Christopher Kenworthy, Katie Kenworthy, Brian Kenworthy, Kevin Wilson, Robert Kenworthy and Matthew Kenworthy and five great grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Harry James Kenworthy and brother of the late Judith Russell and Roy Lang.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the dedicated staff at Overlook Masonic Healthcare.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, August 11, from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
Funeral services will be private with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
