Irene E. (Rossi) Gebo

WESTBOROUGH- Irene E. (Rossi) Gebo, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late Norman E. Gebo to whom she was married for 64 years.

Born in Westborough, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Constance (Lebelli) Rossi. She was a 1942 graduate of Westborough High School and attended Becker Junior College.

Mrs. Gebo She became a licensed cosmetologist in 1977, after graduating from Assabet Valley Regional Technical School, and worked as a hairdresser in Westborough for several years. She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and has been a lifelong Westborough resident.

Irene is survived by one son, Jan D. Gebo and his wife, Carole, of Westborough; two grandchildren, Stephanie Gebo and her fiancé, Kurt Stohr, of Westborough and Matthew Gebo and his wife, Elizabeth, of Martha’s Vineyard; a son in law, Claire Cheer of Pacific Grove, CA and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Lisa I. Gebo Cheer, grandmother of the late Elizabeth Gebo and sister of the late Angelo, Dominic, Fred, Eugene, Frank, Atimeo and John Rossi and Adeline Masciarelli.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 17, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in Rural Cemetery, Southborough, will be private.

Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Monday, September 16, from 4 to 7 P.M.
