WESTBOROUGH- John P. “Jack†Aylward, 80, of Westborough, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of 51 years to Michaelina F. (Casey) Aylward.
Born in Natick, MA, he later lived in Hopkinton and then in Westborough from 1966 to 2014. He was educated in St. Patrick’s School in Natick and Hopkinton schools.
Jack was predeceased by his parents, Richard J. and Mary (Curtin) Aylward, sister Elizabeth Foye and brother Richard Aylward.
He is survived by sons, J. Casey Aylward of S. Grafton, Matthew F. Aylward of Mechanic Falls, Maine and Mark A. Aylward of Webster; sisters, Maureen Aylward and Catherine DeCarlos, brothers Edward Aylward and his wife, Judy, and William Aylward and his wife, Stephanie, all of Hopkinton.
He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church where he was an advisor to the Senior Youth Group and served as an usher. He was also a life member of the Framingham Elks.
Jack enjoyed history, telling a good story, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s music, reading, traveling, spending time with his three boys and the ocean.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 19, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
