Jonathan Alden Stockwell, 45, of Georgetown, TX, formerly of Westborough, was stricken ill and died at his home September 29, 2018. Jonathan was the son of Linwood B. Stockwell and Deborah A. (Normandin) Stockwell of Phippsburg, ME and formerly of Westborough, MA.
Jonathan is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jean Pierson Stockwell, his son, Griffin A. Stockwell and his daughter, Marissa R. Stockwell, all of Georgetown, TX; his brother, Matthew R. Stockwell and his wife Kathleen of Shrewsbury, MA; his sister, Lindsey B. (Stockwell) Spada and her husband, David of Barrington, NH. He was the beloved son-in-law of, Robert and Loretta Pierson of Ashland, MA; and he leaves behind a sister-in-law, Terri (Pierson) Paul and her husband, Gilbert (Gibb) of Plymouth, MA; a brother-in-law, Michael Pierson and his wife Brandi of Monroe, CT; and nephews William and Nathan Stockwell, Steven and Keven Paul, Trent and Brody Pierson; and a niece, Alexa Pierson.
Jonathan was born May 11, 1973 at Vandenberg, AFB, CA before moving with his family to
Westborough MA. He attended Westborough High School where he was a class officer and played on the Soccer, Golf and Tennis teams and graduated with honors in 1991. He earned a master’s degree in Physical Therapy at UMass Lowell in 1997 and practiced as a PT briefly before taking a Sales position with Abbott Laboratories. He subsequently began what became a nearly twenty-year career in several firms engaged in sourcing and supply chain management, including his most recent position in senior management at R2 Corp, Austin TX.
Jon loved to Ski and Golf but, his passion was always for his New England Sports Teams. He never missed a Pats Game on Sunday, Opening Day for the Sox, and Hockey Playoffs. He was a devoted husband and father….as well as a loyal son, brother and uncle.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 12, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Interment will be private.
Calling hours at the Pickering and Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Thursday, October 11, from 4 to 8 P.M.
