WESTBOROUGH- Joseph O. Paul, 77, of Westborough, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital in Worcester. He was the husband of Helen M. (Martin) Paul.

Born in Fitchburg, he was the son of the late George and Anna Lucille (Rockwood) Paul. He was educated in Fitchburg and Westborough schools and was a 1954 graduate of Westborough High School.

Joe was employed as a Quality Control Manager in the computer industry and was the former co-owner of MPH.

He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, a member and past Grand Knight of the John Boyle O’Reilly Council 85, Knights of Columbus, a member of WASA and of the Woodville Rod and Gun Club. He also volunteered for many years at the annual Thanksgiving Day dinner at the K of C hall. Joe was an avid, longtime N. E Patriots fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Anna-Maria Paul of Grafton; one sister, Marjorie Edwards of Lenox; two granddaughters, Amie Brooks and Lucille Brooks and three great grandchildren, Zachary Brooks, Caleb Paul and Aiden Leonard.

He was the brother of the late Johnny Paul.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Millbury Healthcare Center for the wonderful care that Joe received.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 31, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in St. Luke’s Cemetery will be private.

Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Friday, August 30, from 4 to 7 P.M. Members of Council 85, Knights of Columbus will conduct a prayer service at 6:45 P.M.
