June Lukey

March 17, 1939 — February 24, 2016

Westborough

June Lukey, a longtime Westboro resident, passed away Tuesday February 24th after a brief illness.

Born on March 17, 1939 in Worcester, MA to Albert and Charlene Wile, June was a homemaker and entrepreneur, building and selling primitive antique reproductions with her husband Norris, she also ran a daycare and made hundreds of wreaths every Holiday Season. June also loved to peruse yard sales and was known to drive a hard bargain (and she usually got her way).

She was a loving mother to three children; two daughters Jan (Joel) Anderson and Betsy (Daniel) O’Hayer and her son, Jon Lukey who married Deborah Temple in 1986. She was a proud grandmother of six grandchildren David, Jonathan and Tyler Anderson, Therese Lukey and Maddison and Magdalene O’Hayer; and glowed at the sight of her first great-grandchild, Lila Anderson born on May 2, 2014. Also surviving is her brother Francis Wile. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 58 years, Norris Lukey.

June was a kind and caring person who was very proud of her family and was always captivated by nature. Evening drives through the countryside with Norris were a longtime staple in their life together. Her memory will carry on in the lives that she touched and in the hearts of those that knew her best.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 3, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, at 11:00 A.M. in Pine Grove Cemetery, South St., Westborough.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in June’s name to the Salvation Army, PO Box 269, Alexandria, VA 22314
