Margaret K. (Gerden) Roche

Margaret K. Roche, 86, of Westborough, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Richard C. Roche.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ellen (Christenson) Gerden. She was a 1946 graduate of Westborough High School and attended Westbrook College in Maine.

Margaret worked in the accounting department at National Grid prior to her retirement. She was a member of The Congregational Church of Westborough, the Westborough Women’s Club and the Lunch Bunch.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four children, Richard C. Roche, Jr., of Gloucester, Helen R. Race and her husband, Rich, of Ballwin, MO, Ann-Britt Hoover and her husband, Bob, of Westborough and Carl A. Roche and his wife, Kim, of Westborough; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a brother, Carl Gerden and a sister, Helen Gerden.

The family would like to thank The Willows, Beaumont and Salmon Hospice for their exceptional care.

Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Thursday, January 8, from 5 to 8 P.M.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, at 10:00 A.M. in The Congregational Church of Westborough, 57 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
