WESTBOROUGH- Marie T. Boire, 76, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at home. She was the wife of Gabriel Boire.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Paschal and Paula (Imri) Libonati.
Marie was employed as a medical secretary at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester prior to her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, was a member of the Red Hat Society and has been a resident of Westborough since 1965.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one son Christopher P. Boire of Westford; two daughters, Anne Marie Boire of Woonsocket, RI and Deborah A. Boire of Boulder, CO; three brothers, Joseph Libonati, PhD., of Baltimore, MD, Atty. John Libonati of Ft. Washington, PA, and Francis Libonati of Wyncote, PA; four sisters, Dr. Margaret Leahy, of Philadelphia, PA, Paula Schumann of King of Prussia, PA, Joanne Stevens of Palmyra, NJ and Elizabeth Shala of Corvallis, OR and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, January 31, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 1, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowes, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or to UMass Memorial Cancer Research.
