WESTBOROUGH- Marion E. Holbrook, 95, of Westborough, passed away at home on Thursday, April 16, 2015. She was the wife of the late Albert E. Holbrook.
Born in Westborough, she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Edith (Heath) Fenno and has been a lifelong resident of Westborough. She was a graduate of Westborough High and attended Cushing Academy.
Marion was a member of The Congregational Church of Westborough, a former member and librarian of the 100th Town Chorus, the Senior Bowling League, former member and treasurer of the Westborough Women’s Club, the 100th Town Quilters. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting and made many small quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After her children were grown she took in foster children and provided a loving home for many children in need over the years. She had a big heart and helped many young people in times of difficulty.
She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth A. Moran of Charlton; three sons, David C. Holbrook of Prescott, AZ, Allen G. Holbrook of Westborough and Jefferson A. Holbrook of Boston; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Howard Fenno.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at 11:00 A.M. in the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will be private.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, April 21, from 5 to 7 P.M.
