Marjorie A. McDonald, 84 of Westborough, MA, passed away, Friday, July 25, 2014 after a long illness. 

She was born to the late Catherine and James Giffin, January 20, 1930, in Southborough, MA. She married the late Bernard J. McDonald in 1950, and they lived together in Westborough, MA.

Marge worked many years as a waitress, then at Beaumont Nursing Home. 

Marge was an active member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Church of Westborough. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to travel.

Marge is survived by seven children: Karen Varriale and her husband Vic; Kathleen McPherson and her husband, Russell; Bernard McDonald and his wife, Peggy; John McDonald and his wife, Jill; Thomas McDonald, James McDonald; Theresa Hoogendoorn and her husband, Mark. She also is survived by fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as several nephews and nieces.


Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 29, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough, are Monday, July 28, from 4 to 7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donation may be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Church Memorial Fund, 70 West Main St., Westborough, MA 01581
