Mary C. Hinds

Mary Catherine (Murphy) Hinds, 95, slipped peacefully away on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Westborough surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Everett, to the late Dennis and Ellen (Mahoney) Murphy, where she also attended grade and high school. After graduation, Mary worked as a hostess and waitress at the famous Chickland Restaurant/Nightclub in Saugus. There she met and later married Alfred A. Hinds (deceased). Years later, she and Alfred bought and operated Royal’s Restaurant in the Codman Square area of Dorchester, Massachusetts. Mary also volunteered her time helping her elderly friends and neighbors, doing their errands and grocery shopping.

Mary is survived by one daughter Bea M. Lombré of Canton, and the late Sandra L. Branker of Salem, NH, three grandchildren, the late Dennis A. Ezell, Anthony V. Lombré, Christopher Anderson, four great grandchildren Nicole Ezell, Lesley Branker, Kaitlyn Anderson, Alexander Lombré and a host of family and friends.

Mary survived her three brothers, James, Lawrence and Joseph, and two sisters, Anna and Helen.
