Mary T. Neubauer

December 27, 1930 — December 25, 2020

WESTBOROUGH

Mary T. Neubauer, 89, formerly of Westborough, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Tatnuck Park Assisted Living in Worcester. She was the wife of the late George J. Neubauer.

Born in Corregidor, Phillipines, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Conley) Haggerty and was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy on Staten Island, NY. She was predeceased by her brother Freddie Jr. in 1944.

She is survived by two children, Mary-Beth Van Ness of Shrewsbury and Mark E. Neubauer and his significant other Mary Auger, of Manchester, NH; three granddaughters, Emily Van Ness-Wells, Amanda Van Ness, and Erin Van Ness; and one great-granddaughter, Haven, who was her pride and joy and affectionately nicknamed “Little Miss.”

Mary was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and was a founding member of the Martha’s and Mary’s. Mary was an avid volunteer throughout her life. Over the years she touched many lives, always willing to lend a hand or an ear. Mary truly believed that you get back in life what you give, and often talked about the joy you feel inside by doing things for others. She will be long remembered for all of those whose lives she touched.

Special thanks to Kim and Angela from Tatnuck Park in Worcester for all their support and attention to Mary over the years.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 7th at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Calling hours will be private for the family.

Burial in St. Luke’s Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Abby’s House at 52 High Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
