ASHLAND- Mary Ann T. (Amnott) Coffey, 86, died Sunday October, 13 2013 after a long period of failing health.  She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Coffey who died in 2002.

She was born in Lewiston ME, the daughter of the late George and Agnes (Levesque) Amnott and lived much of her life in this area in Milford, Ashland and Marlborough.

For over 40 years Mrs. Coffey worked as a telephone operator for the former New England Telephone, which became AT&T and later Verizon.

She was a long time member of the Pioneers Club of New England Telephone and for 10 years was an active member of St. Anne's Church in Southborough.  Mary Ann was dedicated to her family, her church and Roman Catholic faith, especially in her special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

She is survived by one son; James Coffey of Hopkinton, one daughter; Theresa Kerestzes of Wellesley, one brother; Norman Amnott of AZ, one sister Irene Giguere of Fla., five grandchildren; Bridget, Caroline, Meredith, Ava and Stephen and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 18, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, 20 Boston Rd. Southborough MA.

Burial will be on Friday, October 18, at 1:30 p.m. in the VA National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy at marian.org

Local arrangements are being handled by the Britton-Summers Westborough Funeral Home,
4 Church St., Westborough.
