Maryann Marinelli, 90, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Maryann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Marinelli and Thomas Jancosek.
Born and raised in Whiting, Indiana, to the late Jacob and Mary Kochis, Maryann always held the Midwest close to her heart, no matter where life took her. She had many dear lifelong friends. She attended Bishop Noll High School and later studied at Indiana University. In her early years, she worked as a model, and later, she pursued her passion for creativity by owning a ceramic shop. However, her greatest and most cherished role was that of a mother and grandmother. She was the heart of her family, with a warm and loving presence who embraced life with positivity, laughter, and a deep appreciation for fun.
A faithful communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, Maryann had a zest for life that shone through in everything she did. She loved traveling, shopping, playing cards, and spending peaceful days on Cape Cod. Above all, she found the most happiness with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Laura Spector and her husband, Kenneth, of Southbury, CT; Lisa Giusti and her husband, John, of Hopkinton, MA; and Julie Pappalardo and her husband, David, of Hopkinton, MA. She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: David Spector, Karen Spector, Brian Giusti, Michael Giusti, Ava Pappalardo, and Kayla Pappalardo, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Maryann’s life at calling hours on Tuesday, April 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough, followed by burial at St. Luke’s Cemetery.
Maryann’s kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but her beautiful spirit will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
