WESTBOROUGH- Mike Lobov, 79, of Westborough, formerly of Holliston, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He was the husband of Ingeborg (Lindquist) Lobov.
Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, he was the son of the late Leo and Helen (Suskova) Lobov and came to the United States in 1950 settling in the North End of Boston.
Mr. Lobov started as a mechanic at Bucky’s Garage in Dorchester and then worked at Porter Chevrolet. He then worked for 30 years as a manager at Gaston Andrey of Boston and in later years at Lee Imported Cars in Wellesley retiring in 2003.
He enjoyed all sports, dancing and was an avid golfer with a membership at Westborough Country Club for many years. He was fluent in English, Russian and German.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Joel M. Lobov and his wife, Kristine, of Hopkinton; one daughter, Sonja Lobov Rioux and her husband, Guy, of Newton; two sisters, Diane O’Dell of Arkansas and Susan Ricci of New Bedford; four grandchildren, Britt, Michael, Melissa and Nicole and one great grandson, Dana. He was predeceased by his daughter Linda Lobov Overly of Mt Pleasant, PA and his sister Nina.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 9:00 A.M. in the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
