WESTBOROUGH- Olindo A. “Ollie†DeLollis, 97, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Domenic and Zalmira (Maiocco) DeLollis. He was educated in Worcester schools and was a graduate of the Commerce Business School.
During WW II he served with the United States Army attaining the rank of First Lieutenant. Following WW II he served in the Army Reserves attaining the rank of Major.
Mr. DeLollis was employed as an accountant at Crompton and Knowles for many years prior to his retirement.
He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, a member of the John Boyle O’Reilly Council 85, Knights of Columbus and a member of the East Side Post, American Legion in Worcester.
Ollie is survived by two sisters, Frances Curtis of Westborough and Georgianna Laferrier of Attleboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Emidio DeLollis, Nicholas DeLollis and Victor DeLollis.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 6, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday, September 5, from 4 to 7 P.M.
Members of Council 85, Knights of Columbus will conduct a prayer service at 6:45 P.M. at the funeral home.
