WESTBOROUGH- Patricia M. Pecklers, 92, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Vincent J. F. Pecklers. They were married 55 years.
Born in Mountain Lakes, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Winston) Betz.
Patricia lived most of her life in Clifton, NJ where she was a homemaker. When her daughter attended college in 1965 she returned to work as a secretary for Fisher-Stevens in Clifton. In 1983 she and Vincent retired to Leisuretowne in Southampton, NJ. There they enjoyed the social activities of the community, including dances, excursions, and day trips to Atlantic City. They were members of a local bowling league. Patricia was an avid reader and also enjoyed playing the piano, bridge, crossword puzzles, and knitting. In February, 2012, she moved to Westborough.
Patricia is survived by one daughter, Gale A. Hewett and her husband, Charles, of Westborough; two granddaughters, Lori Miller and her husband, Jeffrey, and Beth Riedel Kane and her husband, Brian and four great grandchildren, Katherine and Lindsay Miller and Bryce and Brennen Kane.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 8, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, with a brief funeral service at the conclusion of calling hours.
Burial will be private in the Brigadier General William Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
