Patrick McShera, 97, of Port St Lucie, FL, and formerly of Westborough, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie (Crowley) McShera.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he was a son of the late James and Mary (Martin) McShera, and was raised and educated in Glasgow, Scotland.
He then came to the United States of America in 1949 and proudly joined the United States Air Force.
Prior to retirement, Mr. McShera was the owner of McShera Sales, Inc., which was a warehouse distribution company for Artex roll on paint.
Patrick enjoyed spending time with family, and friends having a pint of bog water (Guiness) jogging, riding his bicycle, golfing, bocce, singing, and dancing, and reading.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Maureen Foster and her husband James, and Patrick McShera and his wife Denise, his grandchildren Arlene Flynn, Ryan, Sean, Timothy and Meghan McShera, Matthew Foster, great-grandchildren Patrick, Adeline, Madelyn, Bryn, Mia, and Jackson McShera, step-children Scott Powell and his wife Tina, Sharon Hoover and her husband Doug, Steven Powell, and his companion Terri, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Flynn, his former wife Shirley (Kelley) McShera, and a stepdaughter Sandra McAndrews, his siblings John McShera, Cornelius McShera, and Mary Boland.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 17, in St. Luke the Evangelist Church. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Westborough.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 P.M. on Thursday, November 16, in the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral home, 62 West Main St. Westborough.
