Penelope Rosina (Heyn) Quetanarez, 59, of Worcester, passed away at her home on Sunday July 8th.
Born in Brookline, she was the daughter of the late Frederick H. Heyn Jr. and the late Beryl (Vickery) Heyn. She graduated from Westborough High School and spent many years with Newton Buying Corp. and the Worcester Art Museum.
An avid reader and a talented painter with hundreds of landscape paintings in her portfolio, Penelope was passionate about art, poetry, film, culture, language, and science. She was self-taught in various romance languages, fluent in Spanish, and authored numerous unpublished poems, short stories, and novellas. She spent years as a horseback-riding instructor and doted on her loyal English bulldog, Churchill.
Penelope is survived by her daughter Heather R. (Botting) White and son Christian E. Botting, and also leaves her siblings Geoffrey C. Heyn and Jody B. Drew, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick H. Heyn III.
