WESTBOROUGH- Ralph R. Keyes, 87, of Westborough, died Wednesday August 12, 2015 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of late Ferne R. (Robinson) Keyes who died in 2008.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Clarence H. and Alice M. (Roger) Keyes. He lived in Westborough for 62 years.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the 175 MP Battalion in Germany during the Korean War.
Mr. Keyes owned and operated the former Keyes and Sons Plumbing of Westborough for many years. He also served as the Plumbing and Gas Inspector for the town of Westborough for 15 years and served many years on the Town Planning Board.
He is survived by two sons; David A. Keyes and his wife Diane of Auburn, Roger P. Keyes and his wife Cheryl of Shrewsbury, a daughter in law Deborah Keyes of Northborough, one sister Thelma Miller of Fla., seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Warren R. Keyes.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Rand Harper Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
An hour of visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
