Raymond J. Anable, Sr., 87, a lifelong resident of Westborough, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital. He was the husband of the late Sylvia (Moffitt) Anable.
Born in Westborough, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Julia R. (Savas) Anable. He was educated in Westborough and graduated from Worcester Voke School.
Raymond served with U.S. Marine Corps during peacetime attaining the rank of Corporal.
He was the owner of Manning Tool and Cutter in Westborough for 45 years prior to his retirement.
He enjoyed coupon shopping, boating, water skiing, his motorcycle and most of all spending time with his family.
Raymond is survived by three children, Raymond “Jim” Anable and his wife, Darcy, of Marlborough, Shari Ann Anable and her significant other, Tim Cronin, of Worcester and Bruce J. Anable and his wife, Julie, of Auburn. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Anable.
Private graveside services were held in Pine Grove Cemetery.
