WESTBOROUGH, MA- Raymond W. Ellis, 95, of Westborough, MA and formerly of Albertson, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center. He was the husband of Dolores M. (Koelsch) Ellis.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Wyatt and Genevieve (O’Connell) Ellis and was raised and educated in Brooklyn.

During WW II he served with the United States Marine Corp.

Raymond was employed as a Conductor for the Long Island Rail Road prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a life member of the VFW.

In addition to his wife he is survived by four children, Lawrence Ellis of Chelmsford, MA, Colleen Perkins of Ithaca, NY, Diane Paterline of Finksburg, MD and Daniel Ellis of Holliston, MA; one brother, Howie Ellis of Cherry Valley, NY, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 31, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will be at 1:45 P.M. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.

A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9 to 10 A.M. at the Pickering and Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
