WESTBOROUGH - Robert H. Greenberg passed away peacefully on September 30, 2012. He was predeceased by his Loving wife of 32 years: Cathy Corkey Greenberg. He is survived by 3 children, Ron Greenberg, David Greenberg & Maria Greenberg, and 3 step-children: Christy Belli, Beth Campi, John Campi, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grand-children.
He was born in Boston, MA, Sept 5, 1924. He grew up in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1942. He joined the US Merchant Marines and after the war attended Niagara University.
He was a Veteran of WWII and achieved the rank of Lieutenant SG, in the U.S. Merchant Marines, where he served for 6 years. He received War Medals for Service in The Atlantic War Zone, The Paciï¬c War zone, The Mediterranean-Middle East War Zone- The New York Medal for Conspicuous Service.
Robert was a Realtor for over 50 years, was named Realtor Emeritus in 1997, and achieved the Professional Designation of CCIM.
He and his beloved wife Cathy retired in South Florida in 1996. They enjoyed traveling in their RV and visited all 49 Continental States, and every province & territory in Canada.
They moved to Westborough, MA in 2010. His wife Cathy, passed away on May 24, 2011, and was interred in the Massachusetts National Veteran’s Cemetery, where she will be joined by her husband for all eternity.
A memorial service will be held in the Unitarian Universalist Church, 64 West Main St., Westborough on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 7:00pm.
