Robert V. Mazzalupo

WESTBOROUGH- Robert V. Mazzalupo, 87, of Westborough, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital in Worcester. He was the husband of the late Claire (D’Angelo) Mazzalupo.

Born in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late Anthony and J. Susan Mazzalupo. He was educated in Waterbury schools.

During WW II he served with the United States Navy.

Bob was employed as a sales representative, mainly in the food industry, for many years prior to his retirement.

He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and served as an usher at the 9 A.M. Sunday Mass. He was also the co-chair the Bishop’s Fund for the parish for many years.

Bob was a member of the John Boyle O’Reilly Council 85, Knights of Columbus, a member of the Westborough Country Club and enjoyed golf.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet S. Montgomery and her husband, Barry, of S. Natick and Lois M. Tragone and her husband, James, of Yardley, PA; one sister, Joanne Mitchell of CT; four grandchildren, Robert Montgomery, Katharine Montgomery-D’Amico, Jeffrey Tragone, Jillian Tragone and two great-grandchildren, Thea Ann Montgomery and Olivia Grace D’Amico.

Calling hours will be on Monday, July 14, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 15, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
