Ronald M. Wheelock

Ronald M. “Ron” Wheelock, 54, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the UMass Memorial University Campus in Worcester after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Ronald and Joan (Greenfield) Wheelock and was raised and educated in Westborough.  Ron was a graduate of Assabet Valley Technical High School.  Ron spent his career as a master electrician and owned R & L Electric.

Ron had a passion for the outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and snowmobiling with his father and close friend Steven.  He also cherished the time he spent with his family, friends and his beloved dog Tucker.

He is survived by his two sisters, Lynn St. Jean and Connie Wheelock both of Westborough; his nephews, Richie and Mike Gagnon; his cousins in Canada; his close friend Steven Gum of Westborough, and his friends Steven Norton and Sue Norton of Westborough.

He is predeceased by his sister June Gagnon and her husband Richard, and his brother-in-law Daniel St. Jean.

His funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 20, in the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. Westborough.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westborough.

Calling hours are Thursday, October 19, from 4 to 6 PM in the funeral home.
