Rosemary V. Matthews, 76, of Westborough, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2017 at home. She was the wife of the late Ralph M. Matthews.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (McGlone) Malone and was raised in Somerville and was educated in Somerville schools.
Rosemary worked as a data entry specialist for Liberty Mutual in Boston and in later years as a bookkeeper for Somerville Lumber in Westborough.
She is survived by three daughters, Joanne Furbish and her husband, Dan, of Westborough, Michelle Matthews of Westborough and Kerrie Julian and her husband, Charles, of Upton; one sister, Joanne Magliozzi of Dracut and five grandchildren, Dan Furbish, Jr., Koby Furbish, Cassie Furbish, Allison Julian and Katelyn Julian.
She was the sister of the late Robert, Frederick and Donald Malone.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 2, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Hopkinton Rd., Westborough.
Calling hours at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday, March 1, from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Greater Marlborough Program, Inc., 65 Boston Post Rd., Marlborough, MA 01752 (an organization that supports Special Olympics)
