Shelagh K. Ricker

Shelagh K. Ricker, 74, of Northborough, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital, Worcester. She was the wife of Bernard “Ted” Ricker.

Born in Brookline, MA, She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edna (Bordelais) Ford. She was a graduate of Melrose High School, class of 1960 and in 1990 earned her master’s degree at Assumption College earning the honor of being second in her class.

Shelagh worked as a substance abuse therapist at ADCARE Services in Worcester, MCI Longwood Treatment Center and at Spectrum Health in Leominster.

She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough and has been a resident of Northborough for 35 years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three children, Sean T. Ricker of Burlington, VT, Jennifer G. Ricker of Northborough and Eric T. Ricker of Princeton; two brothers, Michael Ford of Maine and Christopher Ford of Lynnfield; three sisters, Linda Picard Ford of Laconia, NH, Kathy Ford of Laconia, NH and Ginger Ford of Saugus; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Ricker and Kalei Ricker and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 11, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.

Calling hours at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Tuesday, January 10, from 4 to 7 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Church Memorial Fund, 70 West Main St., Westborough, MA 01581
