Tamara A. “Terry†Bethel, 75, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Coleman House in Northborough.
Born in Granville, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Delphine (McDonough) Bethel. She was raised and educated in Poultney, VT, and graduated from Poultney High School. Terry also graduated from Jeanne Mance School of Nursing in Burlington, VT, Boston College School of Nursing and earned her PhD in Psychology of Nursing at Antioch College.
She worked at Boston City Hospital, taught at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and was an Advanced Practice Nurse for a Worcester Medical Group prior to her retirement.
Terry was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, a member of The Women of St. Luke’s, former parish council member and also served as parish nurse.
She is survived by one brother, Michael J. Bethel of Bennington, VT, two nieces and many cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Myles Bethel and her dear friend Mary Dunleavy.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 15, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in St. Raphael Cemetery, Poultney, VT, will take place in the spring.
Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday, January 14, from 4 to 7 P.M.
